During the last decade I recorded several hundred tracks under the name Cogs. These were initially compiled on around 15 CDR albums and given to friends. In 2005 I edited about 40 tracks down to make a double disc release 'Laughter and Footsteps'. Most tracks were recorded on a Fisher Price tape recorder with little attention to production values. The next album 'New Primitive' was recorded in a studio and had a punk, industrial, no wave kind of sound. 'Afternoons' returned to the material from the 'Laughter and Footsteps' era and I also recorded a new batch on a Tascam four track. This was another double CDR album. The albums received positive reviews and extensive airplay from Irwin Chusid amongst others. This free album takes 9 tracks and one previously unreleased cut from the Cogs era. Much of this music I consider naive sounding now but I am still sufficiently proud of it to present it again here for free.
